About the Program

Non-Profit Grant Program Information

The Tehama County Non-Profit Stabilization Grant Program is funded through the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021. Non-profits have faced significant challenges due to the pandemic’s increased demand for services and changing operational needs, as well as declines in revenue sources such as donations and fees. Eligible non-profits under this grant program are those that experienced negative economic impacts or disproportionate impacts of the pandemic and meet the definition of “non-profit” – specifically those that are 501(c)(3) or 501(c)(19) tax-exempt organizations. The Program will provide grants of up to $49,999 to assist these non-profit organizations for the purposes previously stated. The program allows for one grant per tax-exempt entity.

The Tehama County Non-Profit Stabilization Grant Program will provide a maximum of $49,999 in one-time grant awards to non-profit organizations located within Tehama County and who serve Tehama County residents. These grant funds will assist Tehama County non-profit organizations with costs associated with the impacts of closures, adherence to local requirements for safe re-openings, and the financial impacts due to COVID-19. Grant recipients will be selected via a lottery process from a pool of applicants determined to be eligible non-profit after a four (4) week open application window.

The organization applying for a grant MUST be a non-profit organization and MUST be located within Tehama County and serving Tehama County residents.
